• Download setup file from our website: http://www.kylixsoft.com
• Run SMS.NET.Setup.exe to install Kylix SMS .NET Library.

• Insert a valid SIM card into the slot of the GSM/GPRS device.
• Connect the GSM/GPRRS device to the port of the computer through a serial or USB data cable.
• Switch ON the modem and check if the Modem/Phone starts up properly and registers in the network. Check by making a call from another phone if the modem/phone is reachable.

• Use Visual Studio.NET/2005/2008/2010 to create a new .NET Windows Form application.

• Choose 'Add Reference' from the 'Project' menu. In the 'Add Reference' dialog that pops up, select the 'NET' tab and select the 'Kylix SMS .NET Library'. Click 'OK' to close the 'Add Reference' dialog.

• On top of your code, type the following line to use Kylix SMS .NET Library:

• Declare and create a object:
  KylixClass objKylix = new KylixClass;
  
• Set objKylix.device.Protocol property according to your GSM/GPRS device. If a Nokia S40(non-smartphone) mobile phone is used, set the property to "Nokia FBus" or set the property to "AT Command".
• Set objKylix.device.Port property according to your connection serial port number, like "COM8".
• Set objKylix.device.Baudrate property according to your device, like "115200".
• Call objKylix.device.Connect method to connect to the device. After the device is successfully connected you may go next steps, otherwise check the above configuration and the device.
• Call objKylix.device.GetSMSCNumber and SetSMSCNumber methods to read and set a SMSC number.
• Using objKylix.device.Model and other properties to get various information about the GSM/GPRS device and network.
• Call objKylix.sms.SendSMS or objKylix.sms.SendWAPPush method to send text message or WAP push message.
• Call objKylix.sms.ReadFoldrSMS method to read all messages saved in SIM card memory and phone memory.
• Call objKylix.Call.DialCall and objKylix.Call.EndCall methods to make a call and end the call.
• The control supports events like SMSReceivedEvent, SMSDeliveredEvent, SMSSentEvent, SMSReadEvent and IncomingCallEvent.
• Call objKylix.device.Disconnect method to close the connection, and finish the whole operation.

• The projects are created with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. Users with a later version of Microsoft Visual Studio can open such a project. The Visual Studio Conversion Wizard will guide you through the process of converting the project to the version used.
